Hot Chocolate Cookies

So we needed something to do this afternoon and I am REALLY getting into this finding new recipes thing! (I've spent more hours then I've needed to looking online and in magazines for recipes!) I found this one today and with the help of my 2 little helpers we thought we'd give it a try!!


Hot Chocolate Cookies

~3/4 cup butter, softened
~1/2 cup sugar
~2 eggs
~1/4 cup milk
~1 teaspoon vanilla
~1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
~1 cup instant milk chocolate hot cocoa mix
~1 teaspoon baking soda
~Marshmellows!

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butter and sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Continue beatin
g until well mixed. Add flour, cocoa mix and baking soda. Beat on low speed until well mixed. Drop dough by rounded teaspoon fulls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-9 mins. Remove from oven and top each cookie with marshmellows. Continue baking for 1-2 mins. Cool completely. Meanwhile, place powdered sugar into medium bowl. Combine all remaining glaze ingredients in saucepan. cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil. boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 mins. Pour mixture over powdered sugar in bowl and beat on medium speed until creamy. Immediately spoon glaze over cooled cookies.
They tasted just like Hot Chocolate!! We probably should have waited till January on a cold, snowy day to make them!! ;)
